adding more flexibility for creating thumbnails, the new option is especially useful for setting boundary limits when image aspect ratios vary wildly, approaching limit extremes. Using the standard method, thumbnails can actually be created that are larger than the original image! This creates a new parameter, so requires upgrade to use.
